Being a nurse does not mean you have to permanently exchange style for convenience or functionality. There are many easy hairstyles that keep your hair out of the way while still looking cute. Balance professionalism and style while in nursing school or on the job with these 5 go-tos.
Flipped Ponytail

Tie your hair up into a normal ponytail, without pulling it too tight. Create a part directly above the hair elastic and insert the end of the ponytail, pulling it through. This is a simple way to make your hair look polished, while still being quick and easy!
French Braid
The french braid is a classic hairstyle, and can be used on different sections of your hair, or the entire thing. Gather the hair you are wanting to braid. Divide the hair into three parts. Put the left part over the center part, then cross the right part over the center part. When repeating each time, grab a piece of the hair next to it, to make the strand thicker, and cross over the center. Repeat until you are at the end of the braid and secure with a hair elastic.
Slicked Back High Ponytail

Keeping your hair out of your face is important when you’re a busy nurse. Brush your hair up to the crown of your head, making sure there are no lumps. Secure with a hair elastic, or two if you have thick hair. If you have any flyaway hairs, use a scent-free hair gel or hairspray on the hair, then use a comb to blend it into the rest of your hair. To make it extra sleek, take a piece out of the ponytail, wrap it around the elastic, and secure with a bobby pin and hairspray.
Traditional Bun

If you have very long hair or just like to keep it all up, a traditional bun is a classic way to do it, and is very quick and easy! Grab all of your hair and begin twisting it. Once it has been twisted to your desired tightness, loop it around itself into a bun wherever you would like the bun to be, like at your nape or the crown of your head. Secure with bobby pins and hairspray.
Double Ponytail

For a fuller, longer ponytail style, try this look. Part your hair into two sections, drawing the part horizontally, lined up with the tops of your ears. Pull each section into a ponytail and secure with a hair elastic.
